Have you had this feeling - being attracted to what you don't quite understand?

I'm not speaking of curiosity. What do you think, is this normal? Any examples from your personal experience?

I think it's the opposite. People are afraid of what they don't understand.

Guns
Video games
etc.

Rather ban or regulate than try to understand why people like them.

I didn't mean dangerous things, but regular things in life from an individual's perspective, not the 'entire society'.

I think you just describe about 99% of straight men here. We don't quite understand women, yet we are attracted to them.

yes, i think we understand, but women try to make it seem like we don't so they have an edge up on us. therefore, we think we dont understand.

May I wonder, what you don't understand about women? Whether they like you or not? I think I understand women. They don't like me . I don't see any things about women I couldn't understand or figure out.

Or maybe we really don't, but women try to make it so seem like we do. Therefore, we think we understand them but we really don't and women keep it that way to have an edge up on us.

This always makes me puzzled - when a man says he doesn't understand women. Can you be a little more specific, what exactly you don't understand?

sure... happens to me all the time. I get attracted to anything I don't understand. Be it a person, a thing, a book or whatever. Once I understand it the attraction is over.
