I'm just curious if anyone has tried this procedure as I am intereted in doing it as my company covers $2,000 towards it.

How much did you pay?

How was your experience?

How long was your recovery?

thanks

I forgot to mention, how bad was your eye sight.

My perscription says I'm -3.25 near-sighted.

I got no idea in terms of 20/20 is concerned (is there a formula? lol)

thanks!

Nope, and I've never had surgery done on me either. ;)

My astigmatism and generally ass-poor eyesight means I'm not really a candidate.

No, I'm not qualified to do laser eye surgery...even though I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

My wife did it and it was about $3600 because she was blind as a bat. It took about 10 - 20 mins and the surgery was over. It took her about 1 to 2 wks to be completely done. You'll still have to have check ups afterwards. She loves it by the way.

BRILLIANT! :D

I'm like 20/60 in my left and 20/40 in my right.
I could do it, but I have been told that if time goes on and your eyes get worse then you are screwed.
Cuz you already shaved your cornea and then thats it.

(This was told to me by an opthamologist with less "hip" wording.)

On a completely unrelated topic, I just watched Saw 2.

Sup Danny :)

No real value to add here, as I have neither performed nor received the procedure -- though I would very much like to receive it. (the procedure you perverts!)
Just wanted to say hi.

Yeah, cost 2500 per eye done 5 years ago, the procedure was quick and painless, recovery time is a few days. You will see great immediately but your eyes need to heal up for a few days during which you should not rub them or wash them out and you will need to wear some plastic covers over them while you sleep

Not a chance. Odds are I'd be fine, but if you're one of the unlucky few things really suck. I'm wearing night & day contacts for a month at a time now. If something happens to my eye I can take them out. Lasic is too permanent ;)

No, but I got to watch my wife have it done. It was one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed.

well, im just tired of contacts. I've had them for 7+ years now and I've grown tired of them. Glasses are good but I only use those when I don't have the contacts on which is 2 hours of my day.

Have you tried the ones you sleep in? I only touch my lenses once a month. If I had to take them out every night I think I would get more annoyed by them.

1800$ CAN a year ago, came in with -1.50 eyesight (mild, but it might I wouldn't be able to read menus at fast food restaurants), and came out with 20/15 eyesight. This was a year and a half ago. You can see much better right away as you step off the treatment table, it's just that you need your eyes to stay hydrated and medicated for a few days. Most of the recovery is done within a week.
