Alien ware is coming out with a dual video card system that one video card renders the top half of the screen and the other the bottom.. I looked to see if anyone posted about this but i could not find anything here. My brother told me about this it looks like it will a big improvment if they can get it going. Its probably going to be for those hard core gamers right now.

I was just wondering what you guys thought. Waste of money? could it catch on from other MB makers? any how i thought it was worth posting.

Come to find out all it is is the first company to market nVidia's SLI with 6800GTs or Ultras. 7Gs for a computer it better be a raid 5 server on 15k rpm drives and quad-xeons...oh, it's just watercooled. Hmm...rrrrrrrrrrrrrip off

Alienware's ALX is not nVidia's SLI. It works independent of the type of video card. It is a rip-off though.

do you guys think that the idea can be improved by other companies and take off? I couldnt afford it any how. Also I like to build my own PC's anyhow.

The article says it used 2 5900's on PCI-e board. Was that a typo? Or do they now make PCI-e 5900's.
