I would do some really hard research on PSUs. I have been building PCs for over 20 years and have always bought reliable brand-name PSUs but on my current main system I decided to go with a company I never heard of, XION, that WAS a 600w PSU that had all the features I needed and the power I needed for SLI, well, the PSU croaked exactly 7 months after I bought it ($54 after rebates from Newegg). The PSU had gotten "OK" reviews so I took a chance. Thank God it died peacfully and didn't take any of my components with it. I decided never to go cheap again and got a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 EPS12V EPS12V 750W Power Supply. Yeah, it cost $200 but with all the stuff I have in my case I need something stable.
