been electrocuted?

Ive been electrocuted once in my life, when I wasn't paying attention taking a plug out. It was a light shock though.

Unless I'm mistaken if I'd been electrocuted I'd be dead right now so the answer is no, however I've gotten a couple nice electric shocks.

One morning when i was around 15, i got up, and was gonna take a shower.

When i touched the tap, it turned out it was all wired with 220 volts. Was quite a shock, standing nude. I didn't manage to turn on the water tough.
Then i might've been electrocuted.

All i know is i was bummed for not getting to shower. I have no idea what happened, but it never happened again.

I have no idea how the hell it happened, but it was a shocking experience (pun intended).
It was the entire setup of taps in the house.

It must've been some wiring gone wrong, it was/is an old house, with it's own well and pump, so it might've been the pump that short circuited.

They run 240v, not watts. So do they in most of europe. Atleast in scandinavia.
Volts are not dangerous, amps are dangerous.

Sadly, yes. I was taking the plug of something out of the outlet, and the prongs were ridiculously long, I remember. I was reaching under a desk and I couldn't get a hold on it after I had already pulled it out a little bit. Well, I grab for it, and I grab the prongs as hard as I can and get the hell shocked out of my arm/chest. I shook like crazy and couldn't move that arm for a bit. It wasn't so bad, but it scared me - that and I had minimum control of my arm for too long :\

me and my friends put a paperclip into an output inside our elemtary school's gynasium, and I kicked it with my shoe to try and get it out of there... because we were afraid of touching it.

we got really scared when some sparts flew out, I mean, it was like "sssssghhhpPAGHHHH!!!" -and two adult staff looked in our direction, obviously very busy in a conversation, and they were like, KNOCK IT OFF GUYS DON'T PLAY WITH THAT... -didn't even bother to check what the loud bang was, stupid adults.. we were more stupid ourselves, though, hahaha

finally after a few seconds, I just grabbed someone's sweater and pulled the thing out myself, the paperclip was all black colored and crusty. I was more afraid of getting into trouble than getting electrocuted... (at the time)

got shocked in elementary school from a wire sticking out of the wall behind a door. thought it must not have been alive... talk about poor safety.

though the worst shock I received was from a fully charged flyback voltage multiplier (from old color TV) while messing with high voltage generation circuits. it was rather painful, like something hit my arm

I've shocked myself on 110V a number of times. One of the worst shocks I got was from an arc welder with a cracked cable that I didn't notice...I forget the exact power involved, but it didn't feel good.

I was putting an adapter plug thing back into a plug socket. It's hard to explain the setup, basically, american plug, went into big block thing, the two pins from that big block thing went into a little adapter that went into an english wall socket.

So yeh, was putting that big block thing back into the english adapter part, and obviously touched something somehow. I thought my friend had kicked me in the elbow, I instantly turned to him and was like, "Why the fvck did you do that?"

Pretty safe other than that though. Oh, and also, those awesome like, tennis racket shaped fly swatter things? That use a capacitor to store up charge that gets discharged into whatever it touches? Obviously I had to see how strong it was

go zapped good by 120V once, knocked my off the pipes i was sitting on. it was my fault, i didn't check it dead

the submarine batter got me a little, but that is "normal"

the dryer 220V at home got me once, my hand was wet

I've been zapped countless times around my home just doing light electrical work (replacing a plug receptacle or light switch) without killing the breaker but 110V isn't too bad unless you wound up getting hung on to it which is unlikely if you're an adult.

But I did have a bad experience as a kid where I tried to remove a broken lightbulb with a pair of non insulated pliers with the power still on. My dad was a worthless piece of crap but him pulling me off was at least one good thing he did as a parent. Probably saved my life because it had a pretty good hold of me. Never been hit though with anything above 110V. To be honest, I'd rather get hit with 110V than put a 9V battery to my tongue. :Q

I took apart a tube TV before to fix a video input jack that fell behind the casing, I had it unplugged but didn't at the time know that they hold a charge even when unplugged.

I accidentally touched something with a screw driver and that shyte went right up my arm! I kind of flew back a little (was sitting on the ground) and just kind of sat there kind of stunned, that was the worst shock I think I've ever felt.

In most homes, there are 3 wires: 2 of them are "hot" @110 volts each, the 3rd is the ground wire. Your tap could *not* have been wired with 220 volts. Only with 110 volts.

I got hit with 20A 110V a few weeks ago. I was painting the ceiling with my shirt off and was all sweaty and I have pulled out a bunch of (what I assumed to be) abandoned wire that was shoved behind the old kitchen cabinets. Turns out that it was switched further down the wall and it happened to be turned on. It was just bare wire and I managed to get it. Lola said she never heard me scream like that. There was paint all over the walls from when I got hit.

EDIT: On the bright side, it meant I found electricity in a spot I didn't think I had it, so I could run some extra under- and in-cabinet lighting.

My most recent attack was when i was working with Lokiju at our old job. I was doing phone punch downs. I had three phone lines going and needed a spot for the end of a wire. So for whatever reason i put it in my mouth and held it with my teeth, about 5 minutes later i realized my tongue was numb. Quiet funny to think about it now though lol.
