Have you ever suspected that some people park bad on purpose?

I see people on a daily basis that undoubtedly drive like douchecanoes just because they can, so why would they stop when they get to the parking lot?

I do, but I am usually far out in the parking lot away from everyone else. I have nice cars and am willing to walk a little further in order to ensure little Miguel doesn't ride a shopping cart into one of them.

Yes. Way too many people are full of themselves and think they are too good to follow the rules. The drive like shit cuz they're cool. They park like shit cuz they're cool.
And of course they are too busy being cool to check their job and correct it.

Plenty of people do it on purpose. They usually drive expensive cars.

Thats only possible in the suburbs, on a slow shopping day. On a busy day when the lot is full you are equally screwed in front or back.

You mean like the douche nozzles at home owner hell that see me with the cart full of crap to load in my truck and one guy pulls up close along one side and the next pulls up close along the other side. The parking lot was three quarters empty and there were closer spots to the door. Assjackers.

OP I gave you rep!

Reported.

In college, I had a roommate who would park his Chevette a foot away from any cars who would take two spots at the end of the parking lot. This would force the driver to enter through the passenger side, and he didn't give a crap if they keyed his car or anything like that, because...it was a Chevette.

I actually have to try to park bad.

That said, I do park badly on purpose at work, because a large amount of our employees don't have cars, so the employee parking like has around 5 of 25 spots used at any one time.

I did that once to a particularly egregious bad parker. The parking lot at a very popular local dig was jam-packed, with only ONE parking spot open, one space over from the end. The guy parked at the end had put his shiny red Mustang far enough over the line to ensure that no one else could park there, leaving him with lots of space on both sides...or so he thought.

I managed to squeeze my $500 Toyota perfectly between the lines, just inches from his passenger door. Later I saw his girlfriend trying in vain to get in on that side as the douchebag just sat in the car waiting with the engine idling. She looked cranky enough about it to ruin his evening.

I see those every time. No manners for people like them.
Like people mentioned, if they are too near my passenger side I make it a point that they cannot enter their car from the drivers side.
I have a mind of doing this... Print a Fake Parking ticket ---> http://web-designs.tripod.com/faktick.pdf.

I like to carry a roll of yellow duct tape in my trunk. When you find someone intentionally parked over the line you put a stripe of tape down their entire car where the line was.

I hate it when I come back to my car after shopping for instance and someone has parked next to me so closely that it prevents me from entering mine. Once somebody did that to me and I dont even know how I squeezed inbetween the cars, opened my door and got in. Thankfully I had the worst cold at the time. They got the nastiest lungful of green phlegm hocked up onto the passenger side window.
