theres this thing called the quick reply box
most people use it

i do like 90% of the time

th eoption is easy to miss

Understandable - even at 10% some people may need more than 5,000 views to take it all in. ;)

Its amazing what people can block out...everyone has read it as some point, but overlook it since because they know they don't need to be aware of it. I'd bet most know they can 'subscribe to this topic' here tho (not that I'm suggesting anyone subscribe to this topic. :D)

actually, i doubt that. there's always posts in threads that say "marked for later" or some such nonsense.

also, in my IE7, i have no quick reply option. it works in firefox though.

Perhaps that's the point...that there's little point to it. :D

You do understand why the option is there right? If you ever had to type in the same combination of icons, what you've typed would be replaced with an emoticon. I'm sure the occasion is rare when it is actually legitimately needed, but it shows the Fuse Talk programmers tried to think of everything.

the reason people do that and not sub is because your PMs get fing spammed with updates whenever anyone posts in a thread you are subed to

if you just post you can pull it up in recently posted threads thing and avoid the PM spam

ok, then just add it to your favorites and then delete it once you're done?
