Have you ever shipped something to the wrong person?

Well, I just did, about an hour ago! I sent a box to someone that I had already done a deal with. The box has the Retail version of windows 2k pro I have contacted the person I sent it to to let them know. What should I do? Should I ask them to send it to the "rightful buyer" if I send them shipping money, or should I ask them not to accept it and let it come back to my house, then send it to the right person?

Well, I've come close. I was selling a bunch of stuff at the FS/FT and almost got mixed up with who was buying what. Very easy to mix up addresses. Just ask them to send it to the right buyer, I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

Ouch. I've never sent something to the wrong person, but I have shipped an empty CD case to someone. I was selling a Playstation game on ebay and after I shipped the item, I noticed the game was still in my PSX! So I had to email the guy and tell him to expect an empty case first and the real game after. Still got positive feedback though.

I once had a guy who sent the wrong money orders to 2 people, I sold him windows xp (on ebay) for $88 and another guy sold him a simpsons cd-rom for $55. The guy sent me $55 and the other guy $88, so i emailed him telling him that he sent the wrong amount. He said he would send the rest of the money, 3 weeks go by, he never emails me, I send one last email, but no response. So I have his$55...not my fault.
