Have you ever scuba dived in the ocean?

i have in cairne, australia last year. it was one of the most amazing things to do in life. it's one of those things you have to do at least once in your lifetime.

snorkelling was one of the coolest/best experiences of my life.

i remember using up like 3/4 of the oxygen tank within 30minutes. i was breathing heavily mostly do to being nervous.

i bet most of you guys who scuba dived the first time were paranoid about running out of oxygen, or at least looked at your oxygen meter every 2 minutes.

i don't remember, but i can't imagine it being very deep since it was with a scuba instructor.

Yep... and can't wait to do it again. If I was single and didn't have kids, I'd scuba dive all day every day.

I'm PADI certified and my fiance is NAUI certified. I own snorkel equipment, but only rent equipment when I need it. I don't feel like taking on the responsibility of maintaining a tank simply because I don't have storage that I can trust to keep good equipment right now...nor do I have the money (real reason )

Yep, NAUI certified since 1974 and was thiiiiiis close to going to PADI school to be an instructor when I went into the music business.

Same here. Living in St. Louis makes it a little difficult . That said, I have done some snorkeling in a few of the rivers around here.
