Have you ever put two cds in one drive?

I just did it and the thing was roaring like a small engine. I thought the cd was unbalanced and tried to stop it before it got shattered.

Ended up having to press the reset button and oppening it up with a paper clip. What a surprise to see two cds sitting neatly one on top of the other.

Now I'm frustted with my idiocy and Acer's stupid design that allows idiots like me to do things like that. My other three drives won't let me do that.

I already hated the drive for being noisy and taking too long to display the contents. Now I'm ready to bomb the b-i-t-c-h.

Does your drive have a deep enough tray to allow two CD's to load? That's crazy...hehe. Well I hope the CD's aren't messed up.

How did you manage this? Did you not see the CD in the tray already? :Q

Ok, I have somewhat of an excuse. I have one of my towers on top of the desk and the drive is above my eye level, but not so much that I can see the whole underneath it.

And the tray mechanism is kinda funny. Instead of a single piece, the outside part of the tray flips down when the tray opens. So I guess this allows for a little more room there... I don't know.... If I was in my right mind I wouldn't have done that, hopefully.

Luckly, I kept pressing the eject button, so the cds never got enough speed to get damaged.

One more lesson under the belt.

I've done that too, man the sound was horrible, I thought it's going to blow up. And I even have the same excuse!

Yeah, I was sitting on the floor and did that. My goldstar drive just spun them both around. Made a funny swishing spinning noise but no damage was done, ejected fine.

Wasn't as funny as when my mate spun round in his chair and knocked his tray flying across the room , the drive was never the same....:D
