I have a silver case and I want to paint the cd-rom and floppy drive bezels. Has any one done this and if so what paint did you use and how did it turn out?
Thanks

Yes, I did earlier last month. My results were good, being that I suck at this kind of stuff and have never done it before. Of course I didn't go online first and look for tips, I just jumped right into it on my own. I first started out with black spray paint on a Cdrom drive, turned out terrible. It didn't dry for 3 days and the results were very blurry (couldn't read CDROM logo on front of drive). So I went to my local auto parts store and bought vinyl dye with is used to dye seats and stuff. THis gave me MUCH better results on all my plastic components. I have painted three drives and so far and they've all turned out great. I also painted my case black, with spray paint again. It turned out nice after the fact, but it took almost 5 days to dry completely!

Anyway, long story short... use vinyl dye for drives/plastic bezels. Use strapy paint for metal.
