Have you ever not posted a cool site due to the ATOT effect?

Yesterday I ran across a cool site that I thought about posting, figuring it would be of interest to many ATOTers. But on the site, the webmaster (recently laid off) said he was paying for the site out of his own pocket and was asking for $1 Paypal donations to help pay for bandwidth.

I thought posting the site would only make his financial problem worse (the main attraction on the site is streaming audio), so I didn't.

Anyone else done that?

 
i donate to sites i frequent a lot, but if they cant afford to keep the site up he/she should just take it down.
