Thinking about getting out of Denver and moving to Kansas City to be with my gf. My job's been stagnant for the past few months and she's saying she can hook me up with one in her company. Obviously I'd secure something there before moving out of here, but I'm kind of iffy about it. Anyone else ever thought about moving for a girl?

I'm planning on moving out of LA and into Denver / Boulder for my girl. :)
Of course, my "official" story is that i'm going there for cooking school, which is part of the truth.

well I'm 22 next week...and she's 23. So I think age wise we're ok. We probably won't get married for at least a couple years (no sense in rushing things), but I'm getting sick of the distance. We've been long distance for a year now.

I know! I had the same way of thinking...but I haven't had any luck getting a job for her cuz my company sucks...so I might have to lose ground and go where she is :|

Take a deep breath, clear your mind, step back from whatever it is your doing, and think for a moment:

Do you REALLY want to move to Kansas City?

That wasn't what I meant...

:D

As far as MOVING, as in re-locating, I would be willing to.

In our current situation, though, she will likely move as I have:

- Stable employment (3 years and counting)
- Reasonable income (easily able to support both of us if necessary)

She, on the other hand, will be graduating, & doesn't have a job. It would be far easier to move her than to move me.

lol lets just say if my gf wasn't there it would be one of the last places on earth I'd move to. No matter I end up doing its not gonna be permanent...we'd probably move out of there together within a few years.

Move for the job first, the gf second. If you would be happy with the job and with living in KC without your gf, then move.

Is Kansas City & Denver really all that different?
Anyway, I say go for it. Being in the same city will increase the odds of your relationship working. So if it does work out, great. If it doesn't, at least you found out sooner rather than later and you can move on. She's getting you a job and I'm guessing you would move in with her, so you sound pretty well taken care of.

Kansas City is like Denver without the mountains. Plus it has more black people. And the houses are cheaper. Other than that, I don't see anything that really makes one place stand out from the other.

and for you pic crazed fools...girl on the far right...sorry its so big, but she scanned it that way.

Well I'm gonna take the next step and send my resume off to her tonight...we'll see how it goes.

Maybe... it would be a difficult decision to make and it would have to be based on strong love and hot sex.
