im a happy athiest too 🙂
and i can say 'there is no god' and be happy saying it. to religious people that may sound like a sad statement, but we are simply reflecting upon our inner beliefs in saying that, and thus are saying it with pride. agnostics are the ones that say it and are confused and saddened, or it can be said in a said manner when something serious happens and to some, a god would have prevented, but since one didn't, that phrase is often said.
my positive way of presenting the athiest belief?
that's how. that sums up my beliefs. except for me, I find happiness in the belief that we are a being of unlimited potential that will one day have the power to make or destroy all life as we know it. why do I find happiness in such a cold view on life? Because I enjoy living a life in which our mind is the ultimate power to alter the universe as well please, as well as for the fact that life is not simply a creation of some singular being in which we all answer to and constantly try to make peace with.
now, i don't take offense when I am outnumbered in my beliefs with religious zealots surrounding me. but when I am preached too, I am offended as it is trampling on my freedoms to NOT have my beliefs oppressed to be replaced with a more favorable belief. i respect the beliefs of others and only enter my beliefs into conversation when it is appropriate and acceptable, i.e., a friendly debate.

sure, I believe in the unending potential of your inner being. While humanity and individual humans themselves have the power and capacity to perpetrate great evil, they also possess the knowledge, creativity, and often the will to make the world in which they live a more harmonious and compassionate place.
Rather than blame disaster and death on a mysterious plan by an unseen god, i accept it as the natural force of balance and the perpetuation of a system that is working the only way it can. I accept that i am a part of that system. and i accept that i always will be, even after death and after sentient consciousness my body will simply be even more connected and dispered within the larger organism of which it has always been a part.
i suppose that is more "at peace" than "happy" perse, but i work with a christian who is constantly "happy" and i'd rather live without having to tak lithium everyday, thank you.
