Have you ever met a rich redneck that doesn't act rich?

My Uncle-in-law is one and I admire him for the way he doesn't flaunt his money.

He drives a beat up pickup and wears Harley shirts and greasy pants ALL the time, even to weddings (that goes a little too far for me).

He lives in a small town in NE Indiana.

His dad is in management with a construction company and so he easily got a great job in construction.

He recently bought a house and he payed in full with cash (well not physical cash).

He does not own a credit card. One day he went to pay a bill for something and they would not accept cash. He was pissed that he had to get a card to pay the bill. He promptly cut up the card after the payment went through.

He doesn't invest (one thing I think he should do), he just keeps his money in a bank.

What I like about him is that he does not show off that he has over 6 digets in the bank and has NO debt. Not even for a house.

He laughs at people who buy NEW cars.

He is divorced and has 2 kids as well.

If they didn't act rich, then I probably would never know they were, a lot like the book "Millionaire Next Door".

It's the frugal people, who don't flaunt the money that usually have the highest percentage of net worth.

My point was that you knew they had money in the first place. ;)

They could be a relative or a friend.

I didn't mean strangers.
