No and yes. The person in question wasn't at fault though. One was a guy who walked directly under a falling tree that the person was cutting down (for the guy who died, interestingly enough.) The other one wasn't really his fault, he was long-haul trucking and another trucker lost control and ran himself and the person I know off the road (road was icy).

I am indirectly responsible for the misery and poverty of people in the world. Tons of food is wasted everyday that would be able to feed hungry villages in Africa.

Well, my grandfather was in Korea back in the day, and somehow got ahold of a Korean officer's sword, but never really talked about it. I have a friend in the guard who did a tour in Iraq (probably going back for another) and he shot/killed someone last summer.

My girlfriends Dad shot and killed a man and so did her uncle. These events happened on seperate occasions. Neither spent any time in jail so I assume it was ruled self defense. I didn't ask a lot of questions. I just know that I'm watching my back at the family reunion!

A friend of mine in high school hit and killed a pedestrian with his vehicle. It was her fault (she stepped out in front of him), but still...

Another guy I went to high school with got drunk, decided to rob his grampa's house for some cash, and killed his grampa in the process. He is now in jail for the rest of his life.

I know a kid who killed his half brother. Sad story. He seemed to be a decent guy, I remember when he was born, his mother and I were\are friends.

He was a talented boxer and very discplined for a young kid. He was humble and soft-spoken. Over the course of a few short years he seemed to start losing his mind (for lack of a better way to put it). I'd see him walking around talking to himself and he started drinking (alot).

Last time I saw him was at a thanksgiving dinner at my mother's a few years back. I was amazed and troubled as he was clearly in need of help. A few months later I was told he shot his half brother to death at his dads house in a drunken rage.
