Have you ever had the crabcakes from Long John Silvers?

..and I love them.

I usually order a popcorn shrimp box, 2 lobster meat crab cakes and fish or chicken plank. Then I smother them in tartar sauce and then comes a layer of cocktail sauce.

Mmm....

The thing about long john silvers is.. nobody admits they like it.

Seriously. I know a lot of people who went there back in college, but nobody would admit to it ever. Kinda funny, it was a closet fast food joint.

How much do you weight, out of curiosity?

Last night my wife's office (Bank Training) had their Christmas party. Two great dishes, Panko crusted scallops and Sweet-Miso Salmon...

Oh man, I haven't pigged out in a long time and I almost did last night...

I'm glad that all of you people like Long John Silvers, but I have to ask, have you ever had real, fresh seafood? Seafood that has not been frozen?

It's hard to eat fast food fish once you've had the real thing right out of the water.

Pretty much. To me it's not even worth it to spend money on frozen seafood. It just makes me sad eating it, thinking of how it should taste 🙁

140 - 155..varies..5'8

😱

I love their chicken and fish planks, along with hush puppies, but everything else kind is not that great IMO. Anyway, it's so greasy, so I can't eat it often.

That ain't so bad, expected 5'8" 375 😛

We jabe one Long John's Silver up here...went there once...it's so nasty...I don't see how anyone can eat something so greasy.

I haven't been there in ages. Use to like it though. Their fish platter was normally pretty good. Add some malt vinegar, and yum. Granted it's no fresh out of the water, but still it's not as bad as you would think.

Long John Silvers is to seafood what Taco Bell is to Mexican food. I love them both, even though I also appreciate REAL seafood and mexican. You can't compare fast food to real food, you either like it or you don't 🙂 Now that i've read this post, I'm thinking I may have to hit up a Long John's and get a combo meal of some sort...its been far too long.
