Have you ever had good luck with Belkin?

KVMs are the best option, but the one i got was a load of unreliable shite (belkin) so i went for the fool proof USB hub system. There are advantages, cheaper than a DVI KVM, it lets me operate my monitors independently (i've got 2) and i don't have to control the screen i'm looking at. But you do have to mess around with the wires. I'm happy with it.
After readint this, and my own experiences with Belkin wireless USB keys, routers and ADSL modem/routers I've found Belkin to only make things which don't really work (don't get detected, stop working, drop connections etc).

Anyone actually had a good Belkin product? Or do they only make rubbish stuff which mostly fails to work?

I have had good luck with Belkin power consoles. Those flat under plugin power connectors for computer, monitor, printer and so on.....

I've used their power surge protection, mouse and other items. They were priced reasonably and that why I got them.

Belkin makes some very reliable stuff. And, like any large company, occasional quality mistakes happen. But no moreso than anyone else.

I have three Belkin 7-port USB hubs that are really well made and designed.

No complaints about Belkin.

I have a few bits and pieces from them here and there, mainly USB hubs and cables. No major failures to report. They're about one step above generic. If you come into it expecting that level of quality, you won't usually be dissapointed. I buy their stuff because it's cheap, not because I'm enamored with their quality control.

Its sorta like a mixed bag for me as well, while my Belkin wireless usb adaptor gets alot of drop signals, my other Belkin wireless PCI card works perfect with excellent signal, maybe its the USB vs PCI thing. Anyway, yea, its luck with Belkin stuff, with my experiences though.

Just have experience with their Pre-N wireless router and PC card and it works GREAT. Better range and rock solid connectivity over the airwaves than b/g, but I don't think it's living up to the claims of the new wireless generation (5 times better throughput, blah, blah, blah).

But as products, easy install, quick config, and stable operation.

Anything wireless can be flaky compared to wired. Just the nature ofthe beast - like dropped cell phone calls.

I have used their wired routers, and several nics that were fine. I have used their surge protectors too and never had a problem. I did have one of their kbs die after a short time.

Other than their USB cables I can't say I have had much success with their products. Their KVM switches suck.

QFT! They make the crappiest KVM switches! Their USB KBs suck as well. At work nearly 100 Belkin KBs wore out after only a couple of months of use. POS products IMO.
