Had a wet burrito?

I'm not making it up... it's a food stuff.

Basically a Burrito with Enchalada Sauce on it, and they are YUMMY.

Supposedly they were first invented in Grand Rapids, MI, but it's hard to tell if that's true. You can get them at almost any restaurant in Grand Rapids...

It's perhaps one of my favorite dishes... so good.

I'm not quite sure... I always order the Wet Burrito... I'll get an enchalada some time soon and tell you... I know both are on the menu.

Enchilada = Corn tortilla with cheese + meat/beans/veggies smothered in a cheesy sauce
Burrito = Flour tortilla with beans/cheese/rice/meat/veggies/salsa/guacamole/sourcream/etc

Sorry for the multiple posts... evidently I can't press the "edit" button.

I said supposedly, and a restaurant claims that they were the first to make it... I never said that I claimed it... I said supposedly.

so the main difference is the corn vs. flour tortilla? ok, thanks. sounds like the same thing to me

The difference isn't between corn tortilla and flour tortilla. It's the size that makes the difference.
Enchiladas are generally really small and skinny, and you usually get 2-3 of them on a plate. Wet burritos are big and fat, and you just get one.

Yep, I eat them all the time at this Taqueria near us. I get a super carne asada burrito, then have them make it wet. They put on the enchilada sauce and can even melt some cheese on it. I like a big dollop of sour cream and guacamole on the side. That and all you can eat chips and salsa are the bomb! :)
