Have you EVER had a problem w/Electronics & Static Electricity?

In all my years of working on electronics & computers, I have NEVER had a problem with ESD frying any component. Now I understand the principle and "how" it could hurt electronics, but have you EVER fried anything just by touching it? (without discharging first..)
 
It may not cause immediate failure, but can damage the ICs enough to cause premature failure during the life of the product.
