have you ever drank authentic illegal moonshine?

Years back I conned a truck driver from the south to bring me a quart. A bunch of us on a beach nipped into the jar early in the morning just after breakfast. The moon was chilled and very smooth. Two shots put most people out for a few hours.
 
I would be careful about drinking illegal moonshine. There are good reason why you need a Federal permit to make the stuff.

Not distilled properly can you make blind or kill you.

Unless you're an idiot, the worst you'll get is a headache from taking a bad cut. Don't use lead solder, and don't adulterate your product with industrial chemicals, and you'll be fine.

Well I would be very careful and wouldn't consume moonshine unless I know it's source.
