Have you ever cut your own hair?

I cut my own hair with a clippers. 1/4" on the top, 1/8" on the sides. It's pretty easy, though harder to make it look good if you have a bigger difference in lengths that you are trying to taper between. For the back I go up pretty high and I do it by feel, when I get near the top where I want to start the taper I just continue straight which pulls the clipper away from the hair naturally because my head is round...

hope that makes sense.

One of my brothers does the same, but much longer on the top. He does a very good job, basically the same method. I think he just is better at it than me and has more practice with longer hair on top.

I bought a set of clippers which included a how-to video when my wife and I were dating. I made her watch the video before she could start, but it turned out fine and now that we're married, I don't see myself every paying for a haircut again (unless my cousin who is a hair stylist does it, then I just tip him a few bucks).
