I don't think I have ever c0ckblocked any of my friends before. I've always tried hooking them up with someone they're interested in unless I'm already pursuing it. Sadly I've been c0ckblocked quite a few times before. What's worst is that some of these 'friends' dont even know that they're doing it.
 
It happens both ways in college, especially freshman year when people don't know what theyre doing and everyone is drunk. Generally inadvertent, but if you have friends that continuously do it something must be done. I've accidentally CB'd a couple of friends, and been accidentally CB'd...no big deal.
 
I work security on occation at a friend's bar. I'm constantly asked by women to cock block for them and make guys leave them alone.
 
I've been cockblocked before, but I go out of my way not to cockblock friends.

Example: Navy buddy was over the other night and it was me, him, and one of my female friends. I could tell she was into him, so I faked a phone call and said I had to run to another friend's apartment across campus for awhile and be back in a half hour. He got himself some.

That's not cockblocking...thats getting lamers off a girls' case. A cockblock is when the girl is into the guy too, and somebody messes it up.
 
Definately have before a few times by friends, once by a guy I didn't even know...

I was asked to c0ckblock by a friend of a friend out at a party and that girl later became my girlfriend,
so yeah it goes both ways
 
i've done it multiple times. generally i meet girls because they were interested in one of my friends. then after they meet me, they're interested in me instead of my friends. i've never had it done to me (hopefully it stays that way!). it's put some tension in some friendships, but i was always willing to accept that.

Anytime some new girls used to come over and hang out with us when my friends were single...two of my friends used to always bring up stuff from my past...like...

"Remember that time you didn't shower for 2 weeks?!?!"

or

"How many girls did you sleep with last summer!?"

I guess they have to latch on to whatever they can since they don't have the same success I do. They wind up just chasing them all away.

Why can't friends realize that if one guy can hook up with a girl...her friends can easily follow?
