Have you ever been to a protest? Which one/what for?

Yup.

The local sports organization wouldn't let my sister play baseball. She was about 9 or 10 and I was 11. She had been playing baseball with me in Little League for years now, but when we moved to Eugene, OR they said "girls don't play baseball. They play softball."

So my family organized a bunch of protests and after about 6 months they succumed and allowed her to play.

She had a mean fastball and pitched her team to a championship 🙂

I handed out literature for the Mayday protests while I was in high school but did not attend the protest. During Nixon's 2nd inauguration we walked through a bunch of protests and I even managed to snag an anti nuke sign I still have packed away somewhere. 4 years in the Navy helped me grow up a lot and the only other protest I have attended was the anti nuclear power one in DC around 1978-1979. After about 5 minutes listening to Tom Haydens ignorant rantings about nuclear power where it became clear he had no real understanding of how a nuclear fission reactor worked I left and have not been to any since.

I was in DC for some union training & stumbled upon a PETA march, I joined in to hit on chicks. It wasn't a successful tactic though🙁 must have been my leather shoes🙂
