Have you ever been sprayed on by David Letterman?

You know that hose he has? He turns it to turn on with a switch from inside the studio. The switch activates some sort of hose that gets people soaked outside. Have you ever seen this hose, or been sprayed by it? I can't imagine what it looks like. Is it just some random hose sitting in the middle of the street?
