have you ever been shot?

One of the guys that worked for me was shot 6 times with a 9mm. He doesn't remember a lot of it and spent about 8 weeks in the hospital. Luckily, the shooter was cheap and didn't buy hollow point bullets. He had a good amount of his intestines surgically removed, but has recovered fully besides having a messed up lower digestive track.

No.

Wait. You dreamed you were shot, and it hurt a lot? That's odd. It's unusual to feel pain in a dream. More likely your back was hurting for some other reason and your brain turned it into getting shot.

i've felt pain in dreams before. their just based on memory of pain and integrated into the dream, but you can feel and do anything in a dream, moreso if its Lucid but often most people forget when they wake.

I have not but my wife was hit by a pin/bolt/screw etc dropped from a lawn mower when she was six years old. Part fell off of this mower then was shot out of the tied up chute guard on the next pass, and through her bedroom window, then into the left side of her neck as she was changing for tee-ball photo day. The pin stuck between two vertebrae in her lower neck, and nearly severed her spinal cord entirely through. She nearly bled to death before even reaching the hospital 🙁

After years of recovery she's thankfully still here. She's used a wheelchair ever since, and always will, but it could always be worse.

One guy I knew in the 8th grade shot himself through the cheek on purpose when he was drunk.

It was a .22LR.

Yes he was a dumbass.

Guy that I know that has been shot in the shoulder, abdomen and leg said being hit by a taser hurt a hell of a lot more, all be it shorter.

(he was hit by 7.62x39)

i just talked to a guy who got shot. was out hunting with some dudes (who were drunk lol) and got hit in the leg by the edge of a shotgun blast. said it hurt worse than anything he has felt before, but managed to get back to work in a couple of weeks.

Lol, while we were building modern society, these people were sticking their hands inside gloves filled with pain-ants.

Morons.

lol exactly!!!

why would these people spend thousands of years not researching any sort of technological improvements, just telling stories and hunting/gathering and stupidly trying to find a way to give yourself the most pain possible?

this is why culture anthropology was my least favorite class - they want you to think that all cultures are equally viable and valid, but there is no argument that can defend this nonsense.

no, but had a close call with some birdshot once. I was over a hill and another group of hunters shot at a bird, and the trajectory was right over my head. "boom shhh"

Alcohol + firearms = profit!

It can't really be described. I was shot in the chest and had a collapsed peft lung, but can't really remember much. People say it feels like you are on fire, but that's not even close to what it feels like. Maybe being paralyzed, on fire, freezer burn and an intense pressure feeling at the same time.

Nope. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a gun being pulled out in a hostile situation. The few cops I've talked to say they've had to take it out in some situations but they never had to use it.

A friend of mine is part of the gang task force in Newark, NJ & that dude has some stories. They never have a slow night.
