Have you ever been in an accident (car, motocycle)

These accident threads made me wonder.



I sure have, and I damaged my car. I feel asleep and crashed into the meadian.

twice, not at fault either time.
i got rear ended in a company car while i was an intern. i was driving into madison WI and some kid from UW was not watching, I was stoped at a light and he hit me, pushing me into the car infront of me. the car was shorter, trunk did not close. drove it back up to greenbay that day.
the other was in grand rapids MI, passenger in a Buick station wagon that got t-boned on my side by a trailblazer. sent us up onto the median of the 4 lane road, the curb riped the left front wheel off the car. car was bent in half enough that the doors on the driver side were about an inch too small for the now elongated openings. my legs stuck between the seat and dash board. my head broke the side window. the car was completely totaled.

Twice. One split fault where I rear ended her but she hadnt cleared the snow off her brake like or rear window. Had to go to court with camera phone pics.

One where I was rear ended and the driver fled.

Twice. Both were my fault, but one was reported as a no fault; I rear-ended someone who fled from the scene (he fled, returned when he realized his rear plate had been knocked off, then fled again). My car was totalled. The second one I was crossing an intersection with zero visibility assuming it was safe. It wasn't. That car was totalled too.

All of the accidents I have been in except one were my fault. I am not proud of this, but it happens. My most memorable accident was when I rear ended an insurance adjuster. That sucked.
