With another car, object, or whatever, no matter how minor? (excepting speed bumps and sidewalks (unless you hit the curb going fast, but parallel parking doesn't count )).
I feel so dumb, I just got my license two weeks ago and I already hit another car. What's worse is that it's almost the exact same type of scenario that happened to a friend of mine last summer.
Last summer, I was in the car with two other friends and his girlfriend. The driver was distracted by his GF and all of a sudden a green sunfire in front of us slammed on the brakes. By the time my friend noticed he was only able to slow the car to 20km/h (12mph) and we hit it with a loud bang. Luckily there was no damage to either car and nobody contacted insurance (thankfully for my friend) but I loved to tease my friend about that incident.
Now, yesterday I was on the same street and behing a green sunfire (just like my friend). I was going rather slowly and looked away from the road for like 2 seconds when I saw brake lights go on and put my brakes on but I didn't brake enough and I bumped into the car in front of me. I was going a lot slower (less than 5km/h or 3mph) but they got out of the car and looked pissed off. They just looked at their bumper and then got back in the car and left when the light turned green. They turned left and I got stuck at the intersection (I was staying a good distance off their bumper). When it turned green again I just went straight. I later parked the car and checked it out.. didn't seem to be a scratch, and the bumper still felt firm. Guess my 14 year old bumper still works
It pisses me off cause it was my fault, and not only that but it was almost exactly like the situation that I teased my friend about.
