had to send in a full set of fingerprints before my interview for a internship for the NSA. It had to be official, so I went down to my school's police department and they did it for me

Had to get fingerprinted for my SF86 security clearance when I was o,working on an engineering contract at a military facility in Texas a while back. Also had to fill out a 13 page form with all the nitty-gritty personal stuff. What a pain that was.

Had to get fingerprinted to clear my name cuz there apparently was a guy in the state of MI with my same name(first middle and last name all the same) was born one month after me, is my height, weight, and has curly brown hair like me. But he has blue eyes I have green. And he drivers license # was only 3 digits off of mine.(as in his ended in 376, mine ended in 373)

Kinda eerie!

SO I had to get fingerprinted to clear my name cuz if you did a criminal background using my name. Well he'd pop up. Not exactly a good thing. But it's all gravy now and he's serving time for home invasion and grand larceny

The USMC took mine several times, I had to be fingerprinted for the USNRC when I worked at Hanford, and several local and federal police agencies have taken them over the years for "assorted reasons"...usually as a precursor to a stay in the local "cross-bars hotel"...
