Dday is coming up. I finished them last night but submitted just now. Feels pretty good to have that over with. Usually we do them as soon as we get our W2's etc, but we put it off this year. Anyways, I don't owe anything so that is always good.

Refund.

Not an absurd amount like last year (homebuyers credit)...but our income was in quite a bit of flux, so I'm pretty happy with how things turned out.

Our income is radically different than 2010's since we both got better jobs and we had some investments etc. Also on my W4 i had them hold out taxes as single with no kids, even though I'm married with kids. Savings account that doesn't pay me a dime of interest, yay.

Mine are done, but I haven't filed yet. Waiting until Wednesday to file because I'm broke. :(

And I owe federal, 370. Getting a small refund from state, but not enough to make it a positive number in my favor.

Haven't yet, but I do have it scheduled. The last few years I've owed one and gotten a refund from the other, the two essentially balancing out.

Refund; getting $783 back.

My friend's brother-in-law isn't so lucky though. For whatever reason, he decided that it was normal not to have any state tax witheld from his paychecks. He owes Uncle Sam $8,000. :D

I got $11k back.

I can't wait for the guys who are gonna berate me for giving an interest free loan to the government.

And in case that's not bad enough, I'm giving some banks interest free loans by keeping it in checking accounts sigh.

Wouldn't that be Uncle WhateverStateHe'sFrom?

I got a $1811 refund. I need to adjust my withholding.

I just finished mine a few minutes ago.
Same as every other year, federal refund, owe the state, even on local.

I got $11k back.

Why wouldn't you want an extra $200 a week in your paycheck?

Didn't do them yet.

Already know I will have massive nerd rage at the AMT though.

eFiled back in January. Have my finances set up so that I pay no taxes so I have nothing withheld.

I owe about $1000, but that's because I did some work as a contractor and had to pay about $6000 that I owed on that income.

"Woot" = over $6k back. Yes, I know. I made an interest free loan to the gov't. I missed out on... $38.12 in interest. Damn it! It would have cost more than that to figure out how much to change my withholding by, midway through the year.

Small refund from feds, smaller payment to the state. Did them online about a month ago. Only took me about an hour. Yay Turbotax!
