Father, it's been almost 3 months since my last cleaning...
It's another rainy day here and I've got nothing to do, so I decided to clean the front intake filter on my Coolermaster 201SX. Boy was I shocked! I'd cleaned the filter before after 1 month and it wasn't so bad, but this is almost 3. Here's the dirty filter. You get a hint as to what color it should look like when clean, since there are metal tabs holding it to the front grill. And here's the clean filter in all its glory. You can actually see through it now! (I wish I had macro on this camera).
FWIW, the fans behind the grill are only Panaflo L1a's. Had they been fans that flow even more air, I bet I could have knit a sweater from all the dust.
