Ok, calibrated the vp930b monitor with Spyder2 and Spyder2express software (long story to get it working right). It says to leave at default values before calibrating. As owners know, default is awfully bright with brightness set to 100 percent and contrast to 70 percent. After calibrating, I think colors are accurate and brightness toned down a bit but still quite a bit brighter then when I had previously set it thru the monitor controls before returning to default values in order to perform the calibration. Anyway I can tone down the brightness a bit but maintain color accuracy? Or would I be doing myself a disservice. I do want it to match the printer as close as possible.
