i have 6 case fans with this case

2 80mm's
4 120mm's

also my enermax PS will have 2 more

i am not sure how i sould place the fans
i know front intake and back exhaust but i am not sure about the 120's
i read a post on here that said a blow hole on the top is not good because the air bypasses the motherboard or something. so 4 blow holes on the side ?

If you want to modify your case this is what you can do:

1. Place a 120mm in the front near the bottom for intake. You may have to cut a hole, but it is really not to hard to accomplish with a holesaw or a dremel. This is the best option for one of your 120mm fans.

2. You could cut two 120mm holes in the side of the case and place 2 120mm there. From the looks of the side of this case, it might be tricky to place them in the appropriate spots since 120mm fans are pretty big. I would think you would want it to look good asthetically. These placements could be used for intake or outake. I have seen it done both ways.

3. Place 1 80mm on the back of the case for exhaust. It looks like there is a place for one mid way up the back of the case.

As for the other 2 fans we have left, it might be overkill to try to add them elsewhere. You could try to place another fan in the front of the case that blows on the hard drive rack. Also, you could try to blow air onto the 5.25 bay rack as well, thought it doesn't look like that is enuf room for that in this case. If you do intend to modify, use gromets in your screw holes for your fans. They really do cut down on vibration and noise. As for a top blow hole, it depends on the case. This case is an Mid Tower and it may cause air flow problems with a top blow hole. It would work with a Full Tower or Server Case. If you need any help with modifications, try here. The tutorials are quite nice. Good Luck! :)

hey y0! I have this exact same case :)

First off, what Sorgon2 said is good advice.

I put 1 120mm in the front of my case & an 80mm behind it in the cage (the black plastic one)
You'll need a fairly THIN 120mm fan to fit in the front like that. Mine are around an inch. i believe 1.5" is too much
My 2nd 80mm fan is at the back for exhaust, just under the power supply - where there's a nice spot for it.

I'm also planning on cutting some blowholes in the side of the case & building some custom ducting.
I would do 2 * 80mm fans in the side, since it will fit better.
You might want to do a 120mm right in the middle

Another thing you could do, is maybe do double 120mm fans in the hole, but stacked on top of each other.
that would depend on how much space you have inside & again the thickness of your 120's
