Have to vent about irresponsible people

This thread was put in the news and politics section because it deals with the health of a child. A child that will possibly be on government assistance for the rest of its life.

Man and woman are married and have a child,
Man and woman split up,
Man gets girlfriend,
Girlfriend gets knocked up,
Man goes back to wife.

Ultra-sound showed the baby has a severe case of spina bifida.

I think the pregnancy is too far along for an abortion.

Girlfriend smokes and eats nothing but fast food, or so the rumors go.

Maybe I am wrong in feeling this way, but why should the child have to suffer because the parents are irresponsible? Did the moms unhealthy habits contribute to the spina bifida?

The father is married but knocks another woman up. What kind of example is that setting for the children? When the kids get grown, will they think its ok to get married then go around knocking other women up?

The girlfriend works at a minimum wage job, so the government is on the hook for birth and medical treatment.

I feel really bad for the child.

This is one of the few cases that I think abortion would be ok. Would it be better to have a handicapped child, or abort it?

The problem is that people are being taught the unborn human is just a clump of cells and therefor does not matter at all. This is being done to convince people that abortions are akin to scraping the skin off the inside of your mouth (which you do to look at cells in science class).

The unintended side effect is that people are slowly but surely not caring about all about the effects of what they do to this "mere clump of cells"...

If it's too far along for an abortion, then technically it doesn't matter. The time to do the right thing was before conception, or at worst, before it got past the too late for abortion point.

Now....if one wants to debate aborting a baby that could make it, basically, murder, vs. having someone go from birth to death suffering for years, that's another argument to have.

Lol,

You complain about irresponsible adults, then say it's ok to bail out of the irresponsibility via an irresponsible act?!?!

How about people STOP SLEEPING AROUND and bringing unwanted children into this world.

That's being responsible...

From an evolutionary standpoint, there is a huge reproductive advantage granted by the man's behavior. A) More offspring B) leaving the woman who apparently can't have viable offspring. That's why. The laws of nature and man don't often coincide. If they did, the laws of man would be unnecessary and redundant.

She will be able to garnish the guy's income for child support. I think the best outcome for the kids would be for the guy to have both women as wives.

and bringing unwanted children into this world.

To compound the situation, the husband and girlfriend are not teenagers. We are talking about adults in the 20s who know where babies come from.

I forgot to mention the girlfriend has a daughter by another guy. The first child is healthy.

Its a lack of proper prenatel vitamins. More specifically its lack of enough folic acid. Lack of folic acid is a common issue for women, specifically with lower income people/uneducated people. This is why women are put on prenatel vitamins ASAP once their Dr finds out they are pregnant.

The key is not to have a government, state or otherwise (no difference in principle), limiting what you can do with your own body and life. This is the most fundamental form of freedom, and the ultimate contradiction among pro-life movement adherents who can't see the contradiction in their position on this issue when attempting to reconcile their stance on unlimited economic freedoms.

So I assume you

1.) Oppose mandatory child support laws.

2.) Oppose taxing people and giving it to others to pay for their poor irresponsible life choices?

And there is no contradiction. If you truly can do anything with your body and life then I should be able to punch, people who piss me off, in the face.

No one, sane, believes in complete freedom.

It doesnt matter whos fault this kids problems are, theyre HIS problems. I have never even seen a current picture of my dad and I still know its not alright to fuck girls then leave them. I have to pay 3000$ dollars just so I can drive, I need to pay to meet the governments standards. THEIR standards, regardless of if I can actually drive or not, it doesnt matter because my eyes are broken according to them. They wont give me any money so I can comply with their rules, and I dont expect them to. My problems, not theirs. If I want to drive then ill do what I have to do.

Did the moms unhealthy habits contribute to the spina bifida?

They live near a nuke plant? The young nervous system (and soon to be spinal cords) in embryos love them some cesium. Or coal pollution. (one of the lowest regulated states there) Eating fast food living a drive everywhere lifestyle is bad also.

Gotta love that small govt TX miracle. Reminds me why I haven't visited in ages.

You would appear to be the tard aruging that is wrong to limit anything a person does with their own body or life. That would appear to cover anything.
