I took my classes 8-11 then went to work at 1.

Take the 8. It sucks getting up early, but you will be done with class before anyone else has even gotten out of bed. You will still have the whole day left.

Plus, when I took the 8 AM class, the instructor is usually only running at half-speed anyway, so the class is easier.
