Have to send money to a guy in Germany

How would I go about doing this? Is there a more easy way to send it, like paypal ( i don't know if international trans. can be made). He gave me his bank account # and stuff but I'm in the U.S.A. and have never dealt with such a thing. I'd hate to do a western union as the cost is so high. Any ideas would be great. Thanks in advance.

Here are a few options:

1) The easiest would be to send Paypal to Germany.

2) Ask the recipient if they can accept Western Union.

3) Go to your local bank (the larger the bank - the better) visit their foreign currency office. Ask for a foriegn draft, which is basically an official check issued in EUR currency. Then you snail mail this check to Germany.

4) The quickest and possibly safest is going to your bank and sending an international wire transfer. Here's what you will need to know (ask the person in Germany for this information):

Is their account held in USD or EUR currency? Most likely it's EUR.

Their bank information:
Complete bank name
8 or 11 digit SWIFT/BIC code
Bank name and address
Bank branch BLZ code

Their account information:
Complete name
Complete bank account number
Complete address and daytime phone number

The bad news about sending a wire transfer is the FEES. It can cost around $30 - $45 depending on your bank and if you send USD or EUR currency.

Best of luck!
