Keeping it short: I had a Tamron 70-300mm lens with a broken zoom ring, lens otherwise in A+ condition. Sent it in to Tamron, got it back, works perfectly. From the time I shipped it out - via USPS Priority - to the time UPS dropped it off at my door was 9 days. Awesome.

Hmm might have to buy my replacement Tamron 17-50 new then...
