hi, maybe someone experienced something similar and can help....

had this problem for a while already. Can leave with it, but it is annoying.
I press power button on >> PC starts, but monitor does not even switch on. Not a beep is produced either.
I switch PC off and on again, then it works. Sometimes prompts me to choose safe mode, but I always go for normal boot and it works okay.

Like as if this damn thing had to warm up first and only then work...

What did I try:
-second monitor
-used onboard graphics instead of the AGP geforce
-dissambled switch from the casing. Power switch is not faulty ( I guess I did not have to do that 🙂

Still the same...

It's MSI 651M-V mobo (SIS651 chipset).

Is that PSU fault? Or is there anything else I could try before getting new PSU?

I have the same issue. It doesn't happen all the time, but it certainly happens enough to bug me. Are you OCing at all? I need to try at stock speeds, but I don't think I had the problem when I wasn't OCing...

no, this PC is not OCed at all. Neither CPU nor memory nor graphics. I put all the components together some time ago and it works fine except you almost always have to switch it on, off an on. Only if it runs for a while, and then I switch it off and on again within, maybe, 5 minutes it boots normally. What is it?
😉

It is quite possible you have a PS problem..before you go out and buy a new one perhaps you could borrow one from a buddy and slave it in and see if the problem is fixed.

yeah I would start with the PSU also.

I had that problem. It turned out the motherboard was on its last leg as half the capacitors were leaking and/or bulging. Have you checked yours?

At least in my case, everything is new within a couple months. Could be, I guess. My L90D+ LCD is having a problem so who knows.

have not noticed anything like that, but will have a CLOSER look. Thanks!

@deathwalker and gamerexpress
Thank You, too. I think I'll have to check PSU then.
