I'm sending this 6x9 1.5 ounce envelope to a friend in Australia, never sent anything international. Could I just address it to him and calculate it using USPS International Calculator? Is there a way for me to specify I want to send it by airmail so it arrives in about a week?

I probably should just go to the post office and ask, but it is 3am and I am curious now :p

Thanks

I always go to the post office for international mail just to be safe. Besides, if its a package you need a customs declaration. As for small envelopes...id just do it the first time just to be safe, and that way you will know for the next time.

We mail cards and letters to Australia all the time.

3 37 cent stamps should cover it and just drop it off like you would domestic mail.

Would recommend that you stamp or write AIR MAIL and indicate AUSTRALIA.

I doubt three 37 cent stamps will cover a 6x9 1.5 ounce envelope. I'd just take it in to the Post Office or use a local mailing place (like what Mailboxes, Etc. used to be).
