to get ready and take the cab at 5:30 AM to get to the train station by 7:00 AM
It's so early :(

Only on Mondays I have to do this though...

Anyone do this kind of stuff for work?

On the bright side, it's exciting to be traveling for work and getting everything paid for

You could cut that 45 minutes it takes you to get ready down substantially.

I wake up early every day. I feel good when I do. Even on the weekends.

I get up for work at 4:45 every day.

A 90-minute cab ride? What does that cost?

I'm leaving way before because it's my first week on the project and I do not want to be late
The ride is more like 30-40 minutes, but there could be traffic and I'm not completely sure how far it is.

it should cost around $30 (don't want to drive my car and deal with parking)

I did that for a summer, five days a week, 1 hour + 5-10 minutes drive each way.

It was horrible. I haven't slept the same ever since (3 years ago now).

I now walk to work.

I have to get up at 4:30 for work tomorrow so I can be there at 5:30. That is a normal day, sometimes I get to sleep in when the schedule is different.

But I'll probably get out at noon if things go well.

Yeah I need to cut down the time it takes me to get out of bed until I am at my desk. You wouldn't think it takes that long but for some reason it does usually take a little over 45 minutes to walk out the door. Then a 20 minute ride to work, more if I stop for breakfast or coffee, then a 10 minute walk from car to building to desk. I can't do much about the latter two, well except that I should get my own coffee pot and set on a timer, and do more quick breakfast things like yogurt and fruit which I can take to work.

I awake at 5:00 every morning to be at work BEFORE 7:00.
In my younger days, I used to get up at 3:00 & be on the road by 3:30 to be at work by 5:30 (90 Min. Commute), but as I get older, I like more wake up/ shower time.

sometimes I get up at 2:30 AM and coworker picks me up at 3:00 AM, then we go to the field for survey.

This entire thread has degenerated into Four Yorkshiremen territory.

I had to get up in the morning at 10:00 at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work 29 hours a day down at mill and pay the mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home our dad would kill us and dance about on our graves singing "Hallelujah."

I got up at 4:30 every weekday for 4 years. You do not have my sympathy. Currently, I get to sleep in until 5:30 which is nice. At work by 7:00, out by 4:00-4:30, every single day.
