If you tell us what flaws you are talking about, maybe we can help you. Ive been running the board flawlessly for a couple weeks now.

I would NOT doubt this...the Pure was "supposed" to be available in August but was NEVER for sale until ~mid December.

On a side-note...I received my EPOX mobo back yesterday which recently died due to bad caps and I RMA'd it to Epox for repair. I bought the board new in Feb of 03 and Epox replaced ALL the caps, cleaned the board up nicely, and shipped it back to me for free. All it cost me was $5.80 to ship the board to Epox and I received the mobo back in ~2.5 weeks.

Hat's off to Epox for backing their product;)

Hey HendrixFan what is your general feel of this board- likes or dislikes? I've been following a thread about it over at XS and it seems like a promissing mobo- waiting to hear more feedback as it matures.

Well, Ive used many different brands before. Gigabyte, Iwill, Epox, ECS, Asus, MSI. I must say that this board is as stable as any I have owned (Asus being the best from my prior experience). I havent had any crashes (other than trial overclocking), and I have no complaints whatsoever.

I use the USB (poor performing per the reviews) ports for my mouse, gamepad and joystick. I use the USB port for my cable modem and to transfer files from my Canon S45. While it tests poorly, I havent seen any noticable performance issues. My cable modem maxes out at around 650k, which is the max that TimeWarner offers and was the best I could do when using the LAN port. I must say, that I use the Firewire port when transferring files with my iPod or with my digital camcorder (HDV with the HDR-HC1). So anything where speed (bandwidth) would be an issue I dont really use the USB port, as firewire is faster. If I were to get a USB HDTV tuner, that may be an issue and is actually something I am having to take into consideration.

The SATA1 didnt really concern me, as the board does have SATA2 with its Silicon Image chip added. My SATA drive is hooked up to the SATA2 port, though I dont know if it is "enabled" or not, dont think it matters as the drive wont max out SATA1.

Once I get my CPU fan fixed (broke a blade so Im running at 7v so it doesnt shake the case), then Ill be able to really overclock this system. In the meantime, Im getting HTT way over 300.

The additional CPU power line was up at the top of the board, which kind of sucked for my Antec P180 case, which has the power supply at the bottom. Thats really the only thing I had to work around.

Every single nForce 3/4 mobo shows this behavior... Switch to the nForce SATA ports when overclocking... The Silicon Image SATA Controller craps out way too soon...

Thanks HendrixFan- let us know how it goes once you start pushing it. Sounds pretty good and I run my mobo with no case so power hookup would be no problem with me. And yeah Budarow I am also waiting for a big price drop. I am amazed at all mobo prices right now. Wasn't it only 3-4 years ago anything over $85 would be considered too pricey? Now with the memory controller on the CPU the chipset on the mobo's don't even need that anymore so they should have gotten cheaper!! I will have a REAL hard time spending over $100 for a motherboard but I seriously doubt this will hit that pricepoint......sigh.

May seem like a significant price drop won't happen too soon, but give it 3 months and we'll see;) It's only been available for a month or so.

I have a Pure Crossfire Advantage, and that's been fine, much like HendrixFan I've used Gigabyte, Asus, Abit and MSI in my time, and this is probably one of the best so far.

I've not use the Innovation, but I'm considering it for my next pc. The unknown parts that a few reviews mentioned, including AT's, IE Teapo capacitors/mosfets and the like, don't seem to have caused problems, at least not yet.

I tend not to like buying things on launch, but this so far has been a good buy, were it not for the fact that my RAM has been out of action for the last month (Really bad turn around times in Overclockers.co.uk's RMA department.) I'd have enjoyed it even more.

Is the Pure Crossfire out already? Where did you get it?

There's a thread on XS, & overall, it seems like the Pure Innovation is doing superbly for those who have it.

If it wasn't so pricey, it'd be one i'd consider.

Hmm..Went to OverclockersUK and the have the Pure Crossfire Advantage for sale at 3/4 the price of the Pure Innovation!(Same price as the Asus 8ar-mvp crossfire board). I wonder if it has the 4 phase power and O/C's as well as the Innovation?

I wasnt sure about paying so much for it, but I really decided not to cut any corners with this build, since I usually keep a build for around two years. Whats an extra $3 a month over a two year span when choosing a mobo?

At least thats the rationalization I used. :)

Damn, i just discovered that mobo!

Hadn't even heard of it till i saw it listed on a local stores website, & then i remembered this topic.

I go googling, & wtf, one of the first results is NCIX.com, yet i had never ever seen it on their site, since it doesn't show up in the s939 AMD section for some retarded reason.
I guess they've had it for a few months now :(

Now i got questions for you Nirach :D

I can't see to find any info or reviews of this mobo save for on Sapphire's site...what is OCing like on it?
Please tell me you've OCed it? :p

Edit: nvm i found your review thread

Yes, it was overclockers.co.uk

They've got some deal with Sapphire, me thinks, they had the GTO2 for two weeks before any other UK retailer, and a lot of sapphire products seem to come to OcUK before a lot of other UK retailers, which is nice seeing as I like their products :D

I've not tried O/Cing yet, because I've not got the need to, and risking something when I don't need to is not something I'm up for.

If I had the cash to replace things if, by chance, they went really wrong, I would be.

The SATA II varient of my motherboard has yet to be released, initial launch date was 28th August..

Something tells me there's been a major problem with that board, possibly even a total redesign..

just got one of these boards and it has serious issues reading correct temps for rev. e processors. my cpu temps read a full 20 degrees higher on this board than they do in any other board I've had my processors in. highly annoying...
