Since the election have the Republicans been making their problems with minorities even worse?

Between the racists who have gone all in, and the "secessionists", and the politicians and pundits who can't stop spewing racism, I would say the Republicans have made things even worse since the election.

I think it's going to take a couple of Election cycles getting thoroughly bitch slapped before they wake up.

Who are we to answer this?

Gee, I wonder how the Dems will take it. I wonder how the Reps will take it.

Might as well have asked people what party they are.

They won't wake up, but the Dems will hand them back power within a few cycles anyway. That's what happens when you're the party of "Everything for Everyone!" and then you consistently fail to deliver - the GOP, a collection of politically-inept tone-deaf idiots, survives as the rebound party.

Murilis has an excellent point.

BTW I picked "about the same" because it's mighty hard to do a worse job of alienation than the GOP did before the election. But they certainly haven't done themselves any favors post-election either.

The GOP is always the party of minorities, of hierarchy, and the like. The Democratic Party always has represented popular sovereignty... it used to be at the State level (Jeffersonian democracy), then it became at the national level (Jacksonian democracy), now it tries to be at the global level (Wilsonian democracy).

If we lost the minority vote it isn't because we no longer hold the issues important to the people, but because we weren't Conservative enough. The issues of the party themselves are perfect.
