have the hard drive reading 127 problem

Are saying that the system only sees 137gb and not the reaming free space?Go to Disk Management(right click My Computer) and click on Storage. You should see the New Volume of 58 something gb.

Sorry i'm not all here today had a soccer game yesterday and one this morning 😛. Yes that's what I was saying it's reading 127gb instead of 200gb. I went into disk management and for my 200gb hard drive it says 128gb is there and 58gb is unallocated. What does this mean?

two solutions:

1. Buy a program that can resize HD partitions (risky and expensive).

2. Download SATA drivers, put them on a floppy, boot up Windows XP setup, press F6 and load the SATA drivers. Then reformat and install XP again.

It'ss called slipstreaming. I've walked people through it several times already, and there iss a plethora of info on the web about it. Need info PM me.

Since his hd is showing to be about 127gb that sounds like maybe the bios version isn't supporting 48-bit addressing. See if you can find a bios update or you made need to flash the chipset with a newer version.

What motherboard do you have?
