Flu is going around at work, and I finally got it. I know I'm supposed to take a lot of fluids, but I feel like I can't keep anything down. Feel urge to vomit a few times an hour. Feel shaky on my feet, and skin on my back feels sensitive.

What do you guys take to feel better? I slept all day so I can't sleep anymore. But i feel too crappy to do anything even watch tv. Just took ibuprofen hopefully that will work. What else? Any of those over the counter medicines worth taking? Or home remedies?

What's good to eat and drink at this point? Water has been the only thing I can stomach, in small amounts.

how about going to the doctor to make sure you actually have the influenze virus, or if you have some other ailment?

I've had the flu before, same symptoms. Also it's going around at work this week so chances are this is it. I will take my chances and if I see any indication that this isn't the flu I will go at that point. Thanks for your help.

Just keep on drinking water/gatorade to keep hydrated.

Damn and I was planning on making some marimilk this weekend. I doubt I could keep that stuff down. Though it would probably solve my nausea and boredom issues.

Cough. Keep that stuff out. Take Mucinex. BLOW YOUR NOSE. Drink lots of fluids. Keep coughing and spitting that stuff out. Just get rid of the sickness.

Water is great if you can hold it down, clear broths and warm flat ginger ale are easier to stomach.

Emetrol or Cola Syrup from the drug store can help with vomiting.
