I just recently formated my main drive. Cause i had a couple of issues here and there. ANd i know formating doesn't cure anything but i did it. In the past when i formated they gave me a options of formating the drive and run a fresh window install or leaving it and installing over it. But my dell disk did no give me this option. So i manually deleted all the files but it was still a 10gb that i was unable to delete from my C drive.

during the formating there was 2 partions that was pointless space. a 3gb and a 80mb partions. I wanted to combine all those into my main drive and doing another format with it clearing all my space and have 1 total partion.

Any freeware program do what i need? With a real windows homes CD would i have that option? I'm using a purple dell disk. it wanted to format the 3gb partion they way i normally clear out data but it didn't give me in the option to do that with the main drive.
