I have the si-120 and want to know if it is just a quick lift and replace, or if I will have to take my motherboard out of the case and change the back plates or anything to get the ultra 120? They are both thermalright, so I was hoping it would be relatively easy. I have a 775 C2D Asus p5b-e.
Thanks!

I guess I'm wanting to know about how much time it will take, to see if it is worth the trouble. My overclock is 3.28ghz now.

Does the SI-120 have a backplate? The Ultra-120 does, so if you don't currently have one you will have to remove the mobo. I recently replaced the stock Intel HSF with and Ultra-120 extreme and went through this routine, I'd say it took about an hour total to unhook everything remove the mobo mount the HSF then reinstall and hook everything back together.

Yeah, that kit includes a backplate. But unfortunately it looks like it works totally different than the one that comes with the Ultra-120 and won't work for the Ultra-120. The Ultra-120 backplate is threaded and the HSF is connected with long spring loaded screws that go down through the motherboard (top to bottom) and screw into the threaded backplate.

You will definately need to remove the mobo and use the backplate that comes with the Ultra-120
