Have SBlive! worth upgrading to Audigy?

Is there a discernable difference between the two that would be worth spending the money to upgrade?

Sound quality between cards is really down to the individual and their ears,so some will say yes while others will say no, however my experience with both cards , I did notice the sound quality improvement,you do need good speakers and ears to tell the difference & even then only you can really decide if it`s worth the money for the upgrade,for myself it was.

I agree with mem that it is mostly based on the individual. I've used both cards and I don't think its worth the money to upgrade from a Live card to an audigy. If you can get a hold of a card and try it before you decide that might be the best way to go.

Wheras I think that it's definitely a good upgrade.

I went from a Live Platinum to an Audigy mp3. Honestly, I don't notice much if any difference and I've got Klipsch Pro Media 4.1's.

I went from an reg. SB live to an audigy and love the sound improvment. Running through Klipsch's

the audigy also has much lower CPU utilization while in games than a live, so you should see marginally better performance overall with an audigy if your system is CPU limited.
