can i use regular rca sound and/or video cables for: coaxial spdif?, component cables?.
im wondering because of differing impedences.

I'm not sure but you could probably use the same RG cable they use in installing Cable TV. I've used that for line level audio cables and it works fine.

Either RG-59 or RG6 TV Coax will work fine for that .. do not use the Audio Cables that are built in to patch
cords as they are usually only a shielded cable and may not have any specific impedance, whereas the
RG 59 / RG6 have a 75 Ohm Impedance designed into them
