Have Microsoft Media Center can I load MS office?

Need Excel, Word and maybe Power Point. My lap top came with Microsoft Works 8.5 trial but Im not sure it's as good. If not 8.5 than what else?

Office will work fine with it.

You can load any version of office you want on MCE. XP MCE is still XP.

Well it looks like Dell already loaded the office 2003 suite on the machine. I guess all I need is to pay for the ID code? I was going to add an older version of Office but why bother.

I?m curious as to why Dell would load software that I didn?t ask or pay for? This kind of pi$$es me off. I might just remove the new office stuff and put my old office suit on.

They load all the trial versions of various junk onto most units they sell, thats another reason I wipe and reload the machines when I get Dells in.
- You did get an OS reload CD, right?

I'll have to check with my son when he gets home after work. It came yesterday he couldn't wait for me to get home and everything is spread around the house.
