I am using a P5B Deluxe. Should I use the Asus windows utilities or go through the BIOS? Is the Asus utility that monitors CPU temperature fine to go by?

I always overclock in the bios so I have never used the Windows utilities. For me Asus Probe is fairly close to the temps I get in Core Temp but I know others have had very mixed results.

Thanks guys. :)

What is the maximum "safe" vcore for Core 2 Duos? What about the voltage for DDR2?

I haven't overclocked anything since my P4 1.8A, which was probably four years ago.

Intel says the very maximum should be 1.55V

Some people won't go past 1.4
I've seen others using 1.6 and even 1.7

Bottom line, if you don't mind risking a $300 cpu, don't worry too much about it.

DDR2 maxes out at around 2.4 2.6V

See what your RAM is supposed to work with (RAM comes with lifetime warranty anyway)
